The second round of the Glo premier league opened Wednesday after a three week break with a 20-goal harvest. Strikers appear to have sharpened their scoring abilities after the Angola Nations Cup tournament.
Liberty Professionals hammered tottering Hasaacas by 4 goals to 1 in Accra. Accra Great Olympics also beat Wa All Stars by 4 goals to 3. Kumasi Asante Kotoko opened the second round of the Glo premier league on a winning note with an emphatic 2-0 victory over Kessben. The victory could not have come at a better time for Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin who had a torrid time in the first round of the league, with threats of losing his job always hanging around his neck. Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw by Real Tamale United in Tamale. Hans Dieter Schmidt after taking over from CK Akunnor as head coach of Sekondi Eleven Wise started on a promising note with a 2-1 victory over Beechem Chelsea. Arsenals were held to a pulsating 1-1 by New Edubiase while Heart of Lions beat King Faisal by 2 goals to 1. Ashantigold S.C. and Aduana Stars have a late kickoff appointment. Source: Myjoyonline.com
